UNITED BY THE SUN

 Since ancient times the Cantone of Ticino has been considered an energetic territory chosen by  healers, a center of connection and knowledge. In its valleys and mountains, there are natural sanctuaries (waterfalls, stones, forests) and temples that are the traces of our ancestors.

This photographic series is the result of 7 Solarigraphy cameras located in energetic places in Ticino with an exposure time of 1 month. This photographic practice is based on the observation of the path of the sun in the sky. It is a kind of vision that will bring us closer to what is important within a landscape seen through the eyes, if they had them, of the stones or the trees, in this case of the energetic places.

This project is a collaborative project with Diego López Calvin, one of the founders of the Solarigraphy community. And it is inspired and guided by Claudio Andretta's book “Luoghi energetici in Ticino”.
